About Us

What is the RIFCB?

Who are we (in a few words)?

The Francophone Immigration Network of British Columbia (Réseau en immigration francophone de la Colombie-Britannique – RIFCB) brings together several francophone community organizations that work collaboratively to support the welcoming, integration, and retention of newcomers within the province’s francophone community. The RIFCB is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and is hosted by the Francophone Federation of British Columbia (Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique).

Main Roles of the RIFs

Fostering coordination and promoting partnerships with stakeholders from various sectors (community, private, public, government, and municipalities);

Identifying and analyzing the needs, challenges, and assets of newcomers and the community at every stage of the settlement journey;

Developing francophone immigration action plans based on these realities and helping shape national domain-specific priorities;

Raising awareness, engaging, and supporting communities and partners in implementing a francophone immigration action plan.

Beyond these mandates, the RIFCB works toward helping newcomers thrive, strengthening the francophone community’s capacity to welcome them, and creating an inclusive, open, and dynamic community where future leadership is ensured.
